My name is Frances Bellord. I help people make the most of their gardens and I have a particular interest in inviting the natural world into that cultivated space.

I am a gardener; I provide plant advice, planting plans, surveys, planting identification and garden design to Bath and the surrounding counties.

I use my knowledge and experience to read the garden, talk to the owner and suggest ways to improve that space. You may have just moved to your property and want to know what all the plants are, you may want to radically overhaul the garden, slightly change it or you may simply need some help with gardening. If any one of these scenarios is the case then please contact me.

Founded in 2009 I have many years experience of the plants, trees, shrubs and landscaping materials that will look really good in your garden.

Jobs to do Now

Before the year kicks into action make some decisions. Think about the structure of the garden and what changes you would like to make, digging out an overgrown shrub or replanting a bed.

Prune fruit trees and cut down the old growth of herbaceous perennials. Dig compost in.

Look at catalogues for new additions and annuals you want to grow.

Now in Flower

Snow drops are out, also aconites, winter jasmine, red pulmonaria, winter iris and rosemary is in flower.

One climber that looks lovely is Chanomeles japonica. Wintersweet is doing what its name suggests, that is Sarcococca.
